Sustainable Youth Work Project

Youth Highland begins its new Sustainable Youth Work project in summer 2013. The Sustainable Youth Work Project aims to boost the sustainability of youth clubs and groups in rural and remote communities in Highland. Funding has been secured to deliver a suite of support services to our clubs and groups including:

Sports and Arts activities
• taster activity sessions with a focus on sports and arts enabling informal learning and skills development for young people
• joint club events promoting integration between communities and opportunities to network and share good practice

Training and Support
• high quality youth work key skills training for volunteers, youth workers and young leaders enabling them to develop skills, knowledge and confidence to run safe, sustainable and attractive youth work provision for young people
• sector relevant information, guidance, advice and support provided to clubs and groups via many different mediums.
