Clair Nichols is our Chief Officer.  Clair manages the organisation and staff, plans the work of the organisation, brings in funding, develops and manages projects, develops and delivers training, and offers advice and support to our member groups/clubs. Get in touch with Clair on clair.nichols@youthhighland.org.uk

 

 

 



Rhiannon Elder - Youth Highlands Participation Officer whose YOUth Led project is funded by Young Start. in post since 2014 Rhiannon uses the 3 principles of youth work to meet youth outcomes and provides day to day support for growing team of volunteers and enables young people to develop their own project ideas and volunteer placements. 

Rhiannon supports young people to access Youth Award Schemes including Saltire, Dynamic Youth Awards, Youth Achievement Awards and John Muir Awards.  To find out more about her role or to ask about getting involved contact Rhiannon.elder@youthhighland.org.uk

 


 

Nikki Walkington – Youth Highlands Network Support Officer. Nikki currently works 16 hours a week for Youth Highland. Her role seeks to create stronger links within our members clubs and the wider Voluntary Youth Network by developing a shared strategy towards supporting and visiting clubs, gathering information regarding the needs within the various services towards positively meeting the needs of young people across the Highlands. Jacquie Steel - A peripatetic Youth and Arts Worker, has a new Youth Highland project called Arts Box Funded by Awards for All and happening over the next 9 months.  It will cover 4 communities in the Highland Region: Merkinch, Alness, Muir-of-Ord and Ardersier.  The project will enable young people to create both a piece of community are and if possibel a sustainable local artistic culture in their areas.  The Art Box itself will be a 'how to' toolkit based on the 3 principles of Youth Work and the 7 Community Learning and Development competencies design to enable peer-to-peer work, youth work and other community engagement projects.  For more information about the Art Box contact jacquiesteel@mail.com

 


 

Volunteers -  Youth Highland have a growing number of volunteers who work for the organisation. We are proud to have experienced individuals on our team who bring specialist skills and fresh ideas to our activities programme. Peer Educators -  We also have a team of Young Peer Educators who help us provide relevant information and training to young people, workers and teachers. Our Peer Education workshops are created and delivered by Young People.  If you are interested becoming a Peer Educaotr or have a drive to create and deliver your own workshop or tookit get in touch with us by emailing rhiannon.elder@youthhighland.org.uk.
